TECHNICAL QUIZ COMPETITION

 


The Computer Science Association (CSA), department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organized a Technical Quiz Competition for its students on 18th September 2024. The competition aimed to test individual knowledge in various areas of computer science, fostering a spirit of learning and competitive excellence within the department. The competition was held for individual participants, ensuring each student had the opportunity to showcase their technical expertise. The quiz consisted of three challenging rounds:

Preliminary Round: A set of technical questions to test the foundational knowledge of the participants. Intermediate Round: More in-depth questions, covering advanced topics in computer science. Final Round: The top scorers from the previous rounds faced off in a rapid-fire round, where quick thinking and accuracy determined the winner.

Winners:

Winner: Bushra Fatima, a student of CSE 3rd Year, Section B, emerged victorious after an impressive performance throughout all three rounds.

Runner-up: Harshwardhan Tiwari, also from CSE 3rd Year, Section B, secured the runner-up position, displaying commendable technical skills.

At the conclusion of the competition, a felicitation ceremony was held. Dr. Alok Kumar Jain, Principal of SSIPMT, presented mementos to both the winner and the runner-up, acknowledging their outstanding performance and dedication. The technical quiz competition was a successful event, providing CSE students with an excellent platform to test their knowledge and boost their confidence. It encouraged a culture of academic excellence and fostered individual growth within the department.

 

Objective:

Enhance Technical Knowledge: To encourage students to deepen their understanding of core computer science concepts and stay updated with advancements in technology.

Promote Individual Learning: By organizing individual participation, the competition aimed to motivate students to take personal responsibility for their learning and showcase their knowledge independently.

Foster Competitive Spirit: To create a healthy competitive environment that pushes students to excel and improve their problem-solving skills under time constraints.

Teacher's Day Event: Envisioning the Modern Educator: Students' Views and Aspirations

 The event titled "Envisioning the Modern Educator: Students' Views and Aspirations" was held on 5th September 2024, providing a platform for students to express their perspectives on the qualities and roles they envision in a modern educator. The event aimed to foster a dialogue between students and educators, focusing on the evolving dynamics of teaching and learning in the digital age.

The program began with a welcome address by the event coordinator Dr. Apurv Verma, followed by a series of student-led presentations. Each student shared their insights on what defines a modern educator, highlighting the need for adaptability, empathy, technological proficiency, and a collaborative approach to teaching. The participants emphasized the importance of integrating technology in the classroom, personalizing learning experiences, and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students to thrive.

Throughout the event, students engaged in lively discussions, sharing their aspirations for educators who not only impart knowledge but also mentor, inspire, and prepare them for the challenges of the future. The event concluded with a reflection session where faculty members and educators responded to the students’ views, showing openness to their feedback and a commitment to continually evolving as educators. The best performers were Muskan Chandrakar, Tanu Pathak, and Jai Kumar, who delivered impressive and engaging presentations.

The event was a valuable opportunity for students and faculty to connect, exchange ideas, and co-create a vision for a more progressive, student-centered approach to education. It left both educators and students with fresh insights and a shared sense of purpose in shaping the future of learning.
