The Computer Science
Association (CSA), Dept. of CSE of Shri Shankaracharya Institute of
Professional Management and Technology (SSIPMT), Raipur organized a One-Day
Workshop on "Energy Conservation: Empowering a Sustainable Tomorrow"
in collaboration with Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency
(CREDA).
The one-day workshop held
on 30th September had a participation of approximately 200 students from
various discipline of Engineering College. This workshop highlighted the
growing importance of solar energy and the initiatives spearheaded by the
Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA).
Mr. Nishant Tripathi,
Chairman (BG) of SSIPMT, extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, Shri
Rajesh Singh Rana, with a bouquet. Dr. Alok Kumar Jain, Principal of SSIPMT,
alongside Dr. Yogesh Kumar Rathore, CSE Department Coordinator, greeted Shri R.
S. Baiga, Executive Engineer of CREDA, and Dr. Priyanka Pachauri Mishra,
Project Coordinator at CREDA. Dr. Alok Kumar Jain delivered the welcome speech
followed by the speech by Mr. Nishant Tripathi.
As part of the event,
Chief Guest, Shri Rajesh Singh Rana (IAS), CEO CREDA delivered a compelling
speech on the work CREDA is doing and emphasized the significance of solar
energy in today’s world.
Following the speech, Mr.
J. N. Baiga, Executive Engineer, CREDA and Dr. Priyanka Pachauri, Project
Coordinator at CREDA, gave an in-depth presentation outlining the impact of
solar energy and various schemes that CREDA has implemented to benefit students,
schools, colleges, households, and farmers. The presentation was well-received,
providing valuable insights into the future of renewable energy.
To engage participants
further, the presentation was followed by a quiz competition conducted by Mr.
Aaditya from CREDA, where attendees tested their knowledge on solar energy and
CREDA's initiatives.
As a prerequisite to the
workshop, a poster-making competition was organized on 28th September, allowing
participants to showcase their creativity and ideas related to the workshop's
theme.
The winners of the
competition were felicitated during the workshop on 30th September by the
esteemed Shri Rajesh Singh Rana ji, who praised the participants for their
innovative and artistic contributions. The winners of the quiz were also
recognized, making the event both educational and interactive.

Objective:
The primary objective of
the "Energy Conservation: Empowering a Sustainable Tomorrow" workshop
is to raise awareness about the importance of renewable energy, particularly
solar energy, and to educate participants about initiatives led by the Chhattisgarh
State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA). By engaging students from
various engineering disciplines, the workshop aims to foster a deeper
understanding of energy conservation practices and encourage innovative
thinking around sustainable energy solutions.
